Lubers Express Oil Change was born in 2000 when Wayne Fertig purchased Dave’s Pit Stop in Drayton Valley, AB.  A highway man throughout his life, Wayne worked throughout the province and spend weeks on the road at a time.  Living a life on the road, he started to see the benefits of an express oil change station; it’s convenient & saves time.  When Lubers doors opened to the public, Waynes home town of Drayton Valley was booming & he felt that a express lube would be a perfect fit for the community.  The business was built with top-notch service, fair pricing & community at the forefront.

In 2009, Wayne Fertig passed away and left the Drayton Valley business to his Daughter Charli – Lorann Fertig. Her family as well as a great team of employees have been working alongside her eversince. The business is run based on the belief that the customers should be treated like family and we will never compromise on quality, service or our integrity. We keep our prices fair, our service honest & will always do what’s right for the customer.

Over the years, there was continuous discussion around expanding the family business. In 2021 that dream became a reality.  Charli, alongside her brothers Corbett Fertig & Cavan Fertig, husband Edward Kezar & Mother Louise Laforce – Fertig partnered together & our second location in Fernie, BC., was born. Cavan, having worked in Fernie in 2018 quickly grew fond of the city & surrounding area.  After a family trip to Fernie to visit Cavan, the rest of the family quickly became attached as well.  With the City of Fernie having a strong economy, community and breathtaking scenery, the decision to invest in the community was easy.

Every vehicle that Lubers team members provide service to is treated with the utmost care and respect like it’s our own and our clientele are treated like family. We believe in putting you first and looking out for your best interests, always.

We’re proud members of the Drayton Valley & District Chamber of Commerce as well as the Fernie Chamber of Commerce. We’re also proud to be part of the St. Anthony’s local savings card program.

Lubers believes in giving back to the communities of Drayton Valley, Fernie & the surrounding areas though a number of different local charities & events. We don’t do this because it’s expected, we do it because we truly value and respect our communities. It truly takes everyone within a commumity doing their part to make sure it succeeds.
